Event Planet Inc., the company behind Miss Nepal US, invites application for Miss Nepal US 2013, one of the most admired beauty contests in the Nepali American Community. It will be held in Queens Theater, New York on August 17, 2013 with an aphorism ‘Empowering Youths, Promoting Nepal.’ Applications have made open on its official website www.missnepalus.com . Interested ones can fill up the form and send it electronically via our website before July 7th 2013. Winner of the pageant will be awarded with certain inalienable amount of 5 thousand US dollar as scholarship and a round trip to Nepal from NY. While the first and second runner up will get 3 thousand and 2 thousand US Dollars Scholarship including lots of exciting gift hampers consolidation prizes, scholarships and more. Unmarried passionate females between the age of 18 and 26 years and resident of USA are encouraged to apply.
The event will be organized in different rounds, the grand finale containing not more than 20 participants. Being a highly anticipated event among the Nepalese American Community, the organizer is endeavoring its best to make this edition the more effective than earlier series. Realizing and learning from the shortcomings of previous editions, organizers have expanded the theme of the contest. They have appointed Miss Nepal 2002, Malvika Subba as the choreographer of the event. The renowned media personality Malvika is taken as a very bold and beautiful queen in Nepal. Besides, world famous Victoria Secrete Model/Top model of the world Cuba 2013 Maytee Martinez will train the contestants. America�s next top model finalist Maytee has emerged as a top-notch international model, actress, and fashion designer based in Miami and New York City. This is the first time such training will be organized in an event organized by Nepali Community in the history.
This event first took place in New York in 2011. Sujita Basnet was crowned as the first Miss Nepal US where as the second edition of the event, held in Washington DC in August 2012, was bagged by Miss. Astha Shrestha.
The event will not only serve as a platform for all the participants to achieve their personal, professional and philanthropic goals but also increase the bilateral ties between the two countries, Nepal and America. ‘Miss Nepal US can act as a bridge to strengthen the relationship of migrated Nepalese, back with Nepal, commented the Nepal’s largest selling national daily Kantipur. Further, this event has created excitement amongst diverse Nepalese groups in the USA and Nepal. ‘Girls like Sujita need to be encouraged and inspired’, quoted honorable president of Nepal Dr. Ram Baran yadav, thanking the first Miss Nepal US for being the pool between Nepal and USA. Similarly, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) honored Miss Nepal US 2012, Astha Shrestha as Goodwill Ambassador of NTB for 2013. With such remarkable achievements, the organizers are motivated to promote the event furthermore.
